Stanford, UN and World Bank Launch SimulacraBench AI Competition

Today, August 17, the Stanford Digital Economy Lab (S-DEL) and Trustworthy AI Research (STAIR), in collaboration with UNHCR, UNICEF and the World Bank, launched SimulacraBench — a competition at the NeurIPS 2026 conference. It will test whether AI can accurately model hard-to-reach population groups based on unpublished UN microdata.

Given that the UN is involved, I decided to join and try to achieve a significant result. If it works out, I will try to draw international public attention to my technology for precise prediction of earthquake strength, location and time. Of course, given my current circumstances (Russia under Vladimir Putin), the chances are slim — many IT services are simply blocked, and many open ones operate in paid mode, which effectively makes them inaccessible anyway — payments from Russia are banned. But we sing songs to the madness of the brave. It's better to burn as a star than to lie as a stone.
